Money Magazine Names St. Mark’s Hospital

One of America’s Top Hospitals 

Salt Lake City, UT,    — In a special report published by Money magazine, St. Mark’s Hospital was named as one of America’s Top Hospitals for Hip Fracture Repair and Community-Acquired Pneumonia.  

Money magazine ranked hospitals across the country for complication and mortality rates in 20 common medical conditions. The data was extracted from government databases and processed by HealthGrades, an independent organization that provides healthcare quality outcomes information for consumers and businesses. The list contains the top five hospital performers in each of five geographic regions. 

The article also names the physicians associated with St. Mark’s who admit the most patients for each medical condition.  The physicians who admit the most patients to St. Mark’s for hip fracture repair are Christopher Martin, M.D., Michael Bourne, M.D., and Leslie Harris, M.D.  For community-acquired pneumonia, the physicians are Florentino Abueg, M.D., Kelly Beams, M.D., and Charles Ivester, M.D.
